FerroActiv consists of a wide range of solid and liquid iron chelates, which include different types of chelating agents and combinations thereof.

The iron chelates included in this range use the following chelating agents: High stability chelates: EDDHA and EDDHSA Medium stability chelates: EDTA

Our solid iron chelates, formulated with SG and DG technology (100% water soluble and dispersible granules) allow for easy and extremely clean handling, given that they do not produce powder. Furthermore, this type of granule does not form lumps easily, thereby making it easier to dissolve.

FerroActiv is also easily assimilated, providing for excellent efficiency and speed in the control of iron chlorosis caused by iron deficiency.

Iron provides certain fruits with their flavour (avocado, apple, pineapple…) It forms part of number enzymes involved in redox reactions, is essential in the formation of chlorophyll and regulates growth mechanisms.

Iron (Fe) deficiency

This is a common problem in calcareous soils with little organic matter, but with high calcium (Ca), carbonate and phosphate content. It can manifest itself both as a result of a lack of iron in the soil, or because it is not found in an assimilable form. The contribution of chelated iron is to make it fully available and 100% assimilable by crops.

  • An iron (Fe) deficiency leads to an inadequate supply of chlorophyll, thereby causing leaf chlorosis.
  • Although plants need iron (Fe) in small quantities, its deficiency causes failures in their systems, where any anomaly in the leaves produces general disorders in the production of proteins, enzymes and other components essential to their development.
  • It is characterised by interveinal colouration of the leaves, which undergo a gradual yellowing.
  • It also produces symptoms of the inhibition of respiration in plants.
  • In more acute stages, the plant can suffer tissue necrosis and even die.
